We will be hosting Miro Lahtela, one of the top ranked Longsword fencers in the world. Working out of the Espoon Historiallisen Miekkailun Seura (Espoo Association for Historical Fencing/EMHS RY) in Helsinki, Finland, Miro brings a wealth of experience including judo and Olympic style wrestling.

The focus of this workshop is to give fencers tools to create a short distance zone of threat. Combining thumb grip actions with wrestling is good combo either with dealing against taller opponents or making sure your opponent thinks twice before rushing you.”

The workshop will be held April 5th, from 3 pm to 7 pm at Ballet Co.Laboratory in St. Paul in Studio 4.
